Hidden connection to school

What was so good about school that you want to go back? There was nothing fun about school: constant homework, an absolute readings of books you likely won't read in (real )life, less time to play more time to stare at the computers, windowless classes, tireless nights, and habit that will absolutely decrease the chance to quit from your coffee addiction.

Those were the words I told myself while sitting in the 5th floor hall of the DAAP building while waiting for my Spanish class to start. I hate to admit that I miss school. I guess the only "pleasure" of school is the illusion of being "inside" where you don't have to be "responsible" to the real world. Seriously. Could you mention something "real" you learn from school? Rubbish. They were only one person studies, that person's statistics, that group's reports, that would only stay on dusty shelf, rotten and eaten by those small creatures...

So, why is it that you have this strong will to go back to school? What was your goal anyway? Trying to grow old as a "forever student"?

I just thought that there was something missing, a will I must follow and pursue even though I know the road ahead is rocky. But coinsidence by coinsidence just let me to think more about that.

Look at this Eisenmann's chair. Don't you miss it? Don't you miss sitting down on it, the chair was so faithful to you and perhaps thousands of other students who were too late to go home or don't have enough time to go home to take a nap. But, it was not just the eisenmann's chair. It's about the time I would save in the long run. It's about the capacity to do more things for my community. It's about reaching the stars I've been after. It's not just about the chair.

I think your "calling" to go back to school is just an old dream you silently burried when things went sloppy. Now when the weather is clear and you can see the land far far away, I think, it's time for you to go back to school. So get set, ready, and go.
